Our Story

Raised on a small farm in Western Victoria, Anthony wandered the hills, creeks and forest fringes, learning to hunt rabbits and foxes with his father’s single barrel shotgun. Shooting, hunting and cooking game meat have been a part of his life ever since.  Country kids learned to entertain themselves, wandering the wilderness, inventing and making things from whatever they could find.

To continue the traditions of his youth, he established a career as a designer and maker. Like many creatives, he had to be resourceful when the pandemic and global lockdowns hit, with most of his usual streams of income drying up. He started experimenting with target designs and Bisalloy steel as a way to keep designing and making. Prototyping and testing targets and accessories over a 6- month period led to a gradual refinement of the products. The product range will evolve and expand as it grows.  We hope that you get to enjoy wandering the wilderness with the Bunnies of Balyang.

“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter... to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life.”- John Burroughs
